Houndstooth Consignors

Contract terms

What the store pays a consignor, and on what schedule. Where a store also buys outright, these describe the consignment side only.

Consignor split

40% of the sale price of consigned items for all items under $200. For items priced at or above $200 (ie. “Luxury Items”), consignors receive 50% of the sale price. For items priced above $1000 consignors receive 60% of the sale price.

Payout method

check

Payout timing

on or about the 1st of each month

Unsold items

If we find a tear, stain, holes or other defect, items will be donated, except for “Luxury Items.” ... if you need to drop off and prefer not to wait for us to assess your items, you may leave your goods provided any unaccepted items will be donated at Houndstooth’s discretion.

Not disclosed: contract length, markdown schedule, store credit bonus.

What they accept

Condition standard

‘like new’, gently used, or new with tags (NWT)

Seasonal rules

We prefer in-season items but can accept some limited pre-season goods at our discretion.

Not disclosed: brand tier, not accepted.
