Contract terms

What the store pays a consignor, and on what schedule. Where a store also buys outright, these describe the consignment side only.

Consignor split

40% of the listed selling price (60% for designer label accessories, handbags, and jewelry-Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc)

Payout method

check mailed to them OR may return within a specified date range to pick up unsold items

Payout timing

payment made at the end of the consignment period

Unsold items

Any “No Thank You’s” must be picked up within 5 days or will be donated to charity.

Stores are selective — brand tiers, condition standards and seasonal windows are normal, and being turned down once does not mean a store is closed to you.
